Description: While printing, Ultimaker machine does a wired sound and print gets stopped all of a sudden. Turned off the printer and observed that gantry of machine was not moving.
Action: The issue was with the dust and foreign particles deposited on the surface of linear shaft. The clearance between linear shaft and sintered bushing (inside sliding block) is very precise. So if any dust particles are deposited, the gantry will get stuck. To avoid this, linear shafts should be lubricated in regular intervals and should be well maintained. If the gantry doesn't move inspite of the above mentioned steps, then it must be the issue with the Stepper motors. Remove the outer casing and check if the stepper motors are rotating or not.
